Residency
Malaysia Golden Visa & MM2H
Malaysia offers two distinct long-term residency programs for foreign nationals — the Premium Visa Programme (PVIP) and the Malaysia My Second Home Programme (MM2H). Both provide access to one of Southeast Asia's most developed economies, with a world-class healthcare system, tropical climate, and one of the region's most affordable costs of living for expatriates.

Premium Visa Programme (PVIP) 20-Year Visa · MYR 1M
The Premium Visa Programme (PVIP) is Malaysia's flagship long-term residency program for high-net-worth individuals. It grants a 20-year multiple-entry visa — issued in 5-year tranches — one of the longest available in Asia. PVIP holders can live, work, and run a business in Malaysia with no minimum stay requirement.
Upon application submission, applicants must provide proof of offshore income of at least MYR 40,000 per month (approximately USD 9,900) or MYR 480,000 per year. Upon approval, applicants must invest MYR 1,000,000 into a local fixed deposit account, which must be maintained throughout their stay.
After the first year, up to MYR 500,000 can be withdrawn for approved expenses — property purchase, education for children in Malaysia, or medical expenses. PVIP holders may also import personal vehicles duty-free and bring domestic helpers.
Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) 10-Year Visa · MYR 500K deposit
The Malaysia My Second Home Programme (MM2H) is one of Asia's longest-running residency programs, first launched in 2002. It grants a 10-year multiple-entry social visit pass to eligible foreign nationals and their families. Applicants must be at least 35 years old.
Applicants must provide proof of offshore income of at least MYR 40,000 per month upon application submission. Upon approval, a fixed deposit of MYR 500,000 must be placed in a Malaysian bank. After one year, up to MYR 250,000 can be withdrawn for approved purposes.
Main applicants and their spouses must spend a minimum of 90 days per year in Malaysia to maintain their pass status. Children, parents, and parents-in-law are exempt from this requirement. Note: The MM2H visa does not allow holders to work in Malaysia, and neither MM2H nor PVIP lead to permanent residence.
